BUTTERCUP is an heirloom variety, originating in the USA in the 1920's. The fruit is round and flattened, with smooth dark, solid green rind sometimes marked with thin vertical light green stripes. The blossom end often has light grey colouration. It is the perfect family size, with fruit ranging from 2kg to 3kg and ready for harvest in around 100 days. The bright yellow-orange flesh is dense,dry, fine grained with a rich, sweet, nutty flavour. The medium length, thick vines are good producers and will usually provide a second crop. Min 12 SEEDS.
