Hjertemagnyl is an antithrombotic medicine, which is used in the following cases: Prophylaxis of coronary thrombosis (coronary artery blockage): - in the case of suspected myocardial infarction and post-myocardial infarction; - in the case of angina (chest pain); - after a coronary revascularisation (restoration of blood vessels and blood flow) procedure; - reducing the risk of primary myocardial infarction in the case of concomitant cardiovascular risk factors. Prophylaxis of cerebral thrombosis: - after a transient cerebral ischemic attack (lack of blood flow to the brain); - after an ischemic stroke (due to topical lack of blood flow). How to use Hjertemagnyl The recommended initial dose in acute conditions (e.g. myocardial infarction or unstable angina) in adults is 1–2 tablets (150–300 mg) per day as a single dose. In the case of prolonged treatment, the recommended maintenance dose is ½–1 tablets (75–150 mg) per day. For later prophylaxis, the sufficient dose is ½ tablet (75 mg) per day.
