Red Russian Kale is not only tasty but also one of the most attractive edible varieties. Its blue/green leaves that are tinged with a reddish purple contracts beautifully with the purple stems. A mildly flavoured Kale that can be picked when young and tender and eaten as a salad vegetable or allowed to mature and even the older leaves maintain their tenderness.
