Mammillaria dioica, commonly known as the strawberry cactus 25 Seeds

Mammillaria dioica, also known as the strawberry cactus, is a unique cactus plant with cylindrical or globular stems covered in short whitish-red spines. It is native to regions in the western United States and Mexico. The plant produces pale white flowers with pinkish-purple veins during the late winter to late spring.

To successfully germinate Mammillaria dioica seeds, it is important to provide consistent moisture and humidity while ensuring the soil is not overly wet. Storing the sown pots in containers that retain humidity, such as cloning boxes or ziplock bags, can help create an optimal germination environment. Using a well-draining sterilized soil mix and lightly covering the seeds with a thin layer of sand or potting mix is recommended.

The germinating pots should be kept indoors, away from extreme light and heat. The ideal germination temperature range for Mammillaria dioica seeds is around 70°F to 80°F. Germination usually takes between 1 to 3 weeks, but it can be slow and sporadic even under optimal conditions.
