Mother of pearl also known as nacre, is an organic–inorganic composite material produced by some molluscs as an inner shell layer.
Sun Sitara is actually glass, but not made by tossing glitter into molten glass! It's much more complicated than that. Italian monks in 17th Century Venice were trying to "make" gold out of copper, and Goldstone was produced.
