Vintage Cross-Stitched Fabric-KISS THE COOK-Great to Frame
Nice handmade vintage cross-stitched fabric that was made to be a display in a kitchen. JUST NEEDS TO BE FRAMED UP.
Sweet Boy and Girl Kissing. The girl holding a wood rolling pin in her hand and the boy holding a bouquet of flowers.
It is stitched with the MESSAGE:
YOU MAY KISS THE COOK BUT DON'T MESS WITH THE BUNS.
Measures 16 inches wide by 7-1/4 inches high. Found this at an estate auction. Appears that it was made but never placed in a frame. The background coloring is a soft champagne, off white coloring. For you can see a white/white coloring as accents throughout the piece. Finished off with square bordering blocks in blues, brown terra cotta, white, browns and greens.
NEAR-EXCELLENT condition. Please notice the water stain on the far right hand corner. Am certain it will wash out.
