100 Seeds Plant Flower Yarrow Seeds Achillea Millefolium
Yarrow, or Achillea Millefolium is a fantastic plant from the daisy family, Asteraceae. It originates from Europe and Asia. Because of its many uses, humans have naturalized it across the globe. It's a fast growing perennial, and once established, can be harvested for many years to come. Yarrow is best known for its healing and medicinal properties. All parts of the plant act as a tonic for good health, but the flowers are the most potent. Yarrow is primarily used to treat wounds, eczema, fight fevers, liver and gal bladder issues, inflammation, help maintain good vision, lower blood pressure, regulate blood sugars, aid in digestion, tone the skin, purify the blood, and more. It is one of the most useful medicinal plants in the world, and is a must have addition to any medicinal, perennial, and pollinator friendly garden.
Growing Instructions:
Sow Yarrow Indoors as early as a few weeks before last frost, up to high summer to give the roots enough time to establish as a perennial. Indoor sowing isn't necessary, as it germinates readily in the earth. Yarrow is hardy down to zone 4, and is not frost tender. Under ideal growing conditions, it will grow to be about 2 feet tall, and 2 feet wide. It thrives best in full sun, but will also produce a decent harvest when grown in partial shade. It prefers loamy or sandy soils, and doesn’t seem to be particular to PH, but does like the soil to be free draining of water, but quite moist at all times. These plants are drought, flood, deer, and pest resistant, and can provide one with high quality medicine for many years to come.
