40 Seeds Heirloom Pink Mountain Berry Sweet Lemon Flavoured Berry

A low growing shrub, the Pink Mountain Berry is native to New Zealand. A relatively hardy plant; withstanding temperatures as low as -7°C, these plants are usually grown as part of rock gardens, or as ground cover. Reaching a height of 1m at maturity, the pink mountain berry produces vivid pink berries, with a taste reminiscent of sweetened lemonade.
The hermaphroditic flowers appear in late summer, giving rise to the tasty fruits in autumn. Preferring partially shaded areas, with well drained, lime free soil, these plants have very fine root systems so should be transplanted early to prevent damage.
