Cerinthe major 'Purpurascens' is a plant that has become popular in recent years. It has large, glaucous blue-green leaves, becoming progressively bluer as they go up the stem, and terminating in a dense cluster of deep blue bracts with a deep purple bell, white inside, in the centre.
