Name: Ageratum 'Blue Ball' Quality Flower Seeds

Taller than other varieties of Ageratum, bearing large heads of deep blue flowers from July onwards. Blue Ball however lacks hybrid uniformity and grows to a height of about 25cm (10"). This beautiful flower, however on the short size would still make a striking cut flower to have in your home.

February to April
WHERE TO SOW
Sow the seeds on the surface of lightly firmed, moist seed compost in trays or pots. Lightly cover the seed with a sprinkling of compost or vermiculite. Place in a propagator or a warm place and keep at a temperature of between 18-21°C (65-70°F). After sowing, do not exclude light as this helps germination which usually takes 7-21 days.
WHAT TO DO NEXT
When large enough to handle, transplant seedlings into pots or trays. Gradually acclimatise young plants to outdoor conditions for a few weeks before planting out after all risk of frost has passed 15-20cm (6-8") apart in well drained soil in full sun.
