This shrub grows at a slow rate with height increases of less than 12" per year. It is best used as an accent boarder or specimen plant. Full sun is the ideal condition for this shrub meaning it should get at least 6 hours of direct sunlight each day. The Jane Magnolia grows in acidic loamy rich well drained soil. At maturity reaches height of 10-15 ft tall and 5-10 ft wide. Hardy in zones 4-7 widely adaptable to any soil.
