'Crazy Daisy' _ 'Crazy Daisy' is a clump-forming, herbaceous perennial with narrowly lance-shaped, toothed, dark green leaves and, from early summer to early autumn, erect stems bearing double, white flowers with fringed, twisted petals and yellow centres.
Shasta Daisies are easy to grow, long-blooming, deer resistant, first year flowering perennials. Flowers attract butterflies and are excellent for cutting.
Germination requires 14 to 21 days at 20 C (70 F). Grow on under lights at a cooler temperature of 15 C (60 F) before hardening off and transplanting outside to a sunny spot. Seed can also be directly sown in the garden in May and again in mid-August to early September for flowering in the following year.
Shasta daisies are super easy to start from seed. Indoors, sow them about 6-10 weeks before your last frost date. Outdoors, wait until all danger of frost has passed. Cover seed with about 1/8 inch of soil and keep the soil moist.. . . . .364011236268!]0000000000000009783314146117!]
