RARE AND VERY OLD SELTZER BOTTLE in HEAVY WHITE PORCELAIN French 1850s'/1900s'

Rare selzer bottle in heavy white porcelain "APPAREIL HERAULT" which is an ancestor of seltzer bottles of soda water glass. There was two different models of bottle (the appareil LHOTE, which was completely smooth) and (the appareil HERAULT, which shows a reliefs on various places and of course is nicest, it is the same I sell) This bottle is in very good condition with no crack, no chips or dings. Just some small black points in the left lower part of the bottle and a small blue point in the right middle of the bottle (see the pictures to see them) This seltze bottle is entirely in white porcelain (Nineteenth century porcelain made in PARIS). The trademark is showed under the foot (see the picture) Height = 8.3 inches and the diameter is 4.8 inches at the base. The two plugs are missing - The inside is separated in two compartments by a tight vertical partition. It has two round openings at the top each communicating with a watertight compartment. It was introduced into one, an aqueous solution of sodium bicarbonate and in the other, an aqueous solution of tartaric acid. Two adjoining side nozzles are used to pay the two solutions simultaneously occur by reaction of carbonic acid with evolution of gas for artificial carbonated water called "SELTZ WATER". From the 1900s, such apparatus have been replaced by the seltzer bottles in glass widely distributed by manufacturers of various soft drinks and sodas. All these types of apparatus producing carbonated water were medically used to treat diseases of the throat - The seltzer bottles in porcelain were made from 1850s to the 1900s and pharmacists were responsible for distributing and make filling. Porcelain could be decorated or not I've been collecting these kind of bottles since about 15 years and they are very hard to find especially for the decorated bottles.
