Sterling Silver Vintage French Stars & Garnet Earrings

This five-pointed star has a simple, classic shape, but it’s not until you look closer that you discover the superbly detailed female face peering out from the center. Her eyes are closed…perhaps she is sleeping? You can easily see the individual strands of her long hair as it spreads over the creased points of the star. This star is from an old French mold we found in Paris that dates to 1891. The star is cast in Sterling Silver and then we apply a light antiquing to bring out the detail. Dangling is a pair of fine-quality faceted rich red rhodolite garnet gemstones. Earwires are sterling silver. Earrings measure 1 ½ inches tall.
