Astilbe chinensis 'Visions' is from the Chinese astilbe family. It features sweetly fragrant raspberry red plumes. A mature clump features clear green leaves of a course texture. One of the shortest varieties available. A strong grower. Always sells on sight.

Astilbe are wonderful hardy perennials that can grow in full sun, part sun or shade. As with most perennials Astilbe grow best in well draining soil. They are a good choice for containers. The fragrant flowers can be dried or added to fresh flower bouquets. The foliage is very attractive even without blossoms. Astilbe are generally resistant to deer and rabbits.
