Fantastic Foamy Flower!

Heucherella 'Pink Fizz'. This new Foamy Flower forms a full clump of large, deeply lobed, soft green leaves with a light silvering and heavy wine red to deep purple veining. It keeps its cool coloring and maintains its tight habit all season. From early through midsummer, pure pink flowers burst open from hot pink buds on scapes that bubble up above the leaves like strawberry soda pop. The flowers are closely spaced on the wands, giving a strong show of color just above the foliage. PP#26947.

Heucherella, also known as Foamy Bells, are extremely versatile perennial plants (they come back each year). Heucherella are an intergeneric hybrid between Heuchera x Tiarella. The resulting offspring retain some of the best traits of both parents. While they are primarily grown for their colorful foliage many of the newer varieties have colorful flowers, a huge improvement over varieties of the past that had bland blooms. The flower stems are great additions to fresh-cut flower bouquets. The sweet flowers attract hummingbirds and butterflies. Since all forms are sterile they bloom profusely and repeatedly. Known for their vigorous habit heucherella are a premium hosta companion. Many varieties go through a seasonal color change.
