Jefferson Starship - Gold 1979 RCA GRUNT T11 8-TRACK TAPE

Gold is a 1979 compilation album by Jefferson Starship. The tracks come from their 1974 - 1978 albums, Dragon Fly, Red Octopus, Spitfire, and Earth. The original record release also contained a single, "Light the Sky on Fire", that was recorded for The Star Wars Holiday Special, along with an extra track from Dragon Fly. This single is included in the later CD releases as tracks 6 and 12. The single reached #66 on the Billboard charts.

Jefferson Starship is an American rock band formed in the early 1970s by several members of the former Jefferson Airplane. The band has undergone several major changes in personnel and genres through the years while retaining the same Jefferson Starship name. It is not to be confused with Starship, a spin-off of the group featuring former co-lead singer Mickey Thomas that also periodically tours.
