ArgoSept Medex Swiss hydrocolloid gel with silver 50g
ArgoSept is a paraben-free hydrocolloid gel for the treatment of local, dry or wet wounds. ArgoSept is a medical device that indirectly promotes wound healing by controlling the microenvironment of the wound. Used for acute and chronic wounds such as:
- superficial burns,
- abraded skin,
- wounds after surgery
- bedsores (wounds caused by prolonged lying down),
- open leg wounds (ulcers).
ArgoSept is made up of an acidic carbomer stabilized with carnosine (a natural skin-based peptide). Carbomer coating of dry wounds, such as abrasions or surgical wounds, produces an occlusive effect that inhibits moisture evaporation and reduces fluid loss through the epidermis. Carnosine acts as a buffer for acidic polymers and as an antioxidant. Carbomer absorbs excess fluid from wet, exudative wounds. ArgoSept cools and softens contact with patches and / or bandages and has no adhesive properties. ArgoSept contains silver citrate instead of irritating parabens, which acts as a preservative.

Composition
Silver citrate, acid colloidal carbomer, carnosine, water.

USE
For closed wounds: - clean and disinfect the area to be treated - apply ArgoSept to the wound without touching the spray vial - apply bandages or a patch if necessary.
For open wounds: - clean and disinfect the wound - dry it with gentle presses - cover the wound with a thick layer of gel (0.5-0.75 cm) - apply a bandage or patch - leave the bandage on the wound for 1 - 3 days until the applied gel dissolves - on reduce the use of ArgoSept if the scab forms.

Warning
Wash burn wounds with water first, then follow the above steps. After a burn, immediately cool the wound under lukewarm running water for about 20 minutes. This should be done as soon as possible, as the positive effect diminishes and disappears after 30 minutes. In order to avoid hypothermia, it is not recommended to use cold water, especially on large burn areas.
Only then use ArgoSept after proper evaluation of the degree of burns.

Special precautions
No adverse effects such as pruritus or hypersensitivity have been observed. ArgoSept should not be used on the eyes, eyelids or mucous membranes. Always consult your doctor if the wounds are: - large, wide or very deep, - small, very infected, - healing slowly or at risk of complications.
