A very charming species from British Columbia with beautiful lavender colour flowers that reach the 1-2 cm size .The stems will grow up to 25 cm and leaves size will reach 10-16 cm long .Very rarely the flowers of Dodecathen cusickii can be white.Flowers will bloom in late spring to summer . Dodecatheon are related to primroses and require similar conditions with a nice rich soil kept moist in Spring.With good care and frequent light fertilizing flowering can be achieved in as little as 18 months from seed sown in Autumn or Winter.
