Antique Neo Babylonian Carnelian Hunter Intaglio Large Silver Pendant

Ancient huge Neo Babylonian or Acheamenid Persian hunter intaglio pendant set in silver with copious hand engraved designs. Pendant of this type and style have been found from 450 BC to ~ 200 AD. Back decoration very similar to engraving designs of the Eastern & Western Han found on articles from that period. The Silk Road existed then and was a conduit of exchange of art & goods between Far East and Near East. Probable time range 450 BC - 400 AD. ~ 3" L x 2-3/16" diameter x 9/16" depth. ~ 55.5 grams.
