Vagisan moisturizing cream for use in the area of external genitalia and Vagisan ovules Cremolum is for vaginal use. Intended for use in disorders related to dryness in the vagina, vaginal vestibule and external genitalia (dryness, itching and pain (also during sexual intercourse), such as lack of estrogen during the climacteric period).
Medical CE ((UL equivalent in the US) device information
Vagisan ovule Cremolum is an ovule that, when inserted into the vagina, dissolves, mixes with vaginal fluids and forms an ointment and nourishing cream. This can alleviate vaginal dryness of various origins (eg dryness, burning, itching, pain). Vagisan Cremolum ovules contain additional measures of lactic acid and sodium lactate buffers, which cause the pH (acidity) in the vagina to be about 4.5. The normal value for vaginal acidity is 3.8 to 4.5; therefore, Vagisan Cremolum ovule lactic acid buffer system helps maintain a healthy pH medium in the vagina.
Vagisan Moisturizing Cream is a white spread cream for use in the presence of dryness in the vagina and external genital area. It alleviates the unpleasant sensations caused by vaginal dryness in two ways:
- the cream contains a lot of water, which moisturizes the skin in the area of the vaginal canal and external genitalia;
- nourishing lipids (fats) keep the skin elastic.
Vagisan combination moisturizer is free of hormones,, so (if necessary) it can be used in hormone replacement therapy or alternately with vaginal creams or ovules or suppositories that contain hormones (estrogens). Regular use of Vagisan combination moisturizer can prevent irritation and inflammation of the vagina and external genital area.
Use of Vagisan Combination Moisturizer
Vagisan moisturizer Cremolum ovules are designed for vaginal use. The ovule (preferably at bedtime) should be inserted into the vagina as deeply as possible. This is best done lying on your back with your legs slightly bent. It is advisable to use sanitary pads when using ovules. The ovule is removed from the bilayer strip by grasping both free ends of the film at the apex of the ovule and peeling them apart. Initially, it is recommended to use ovules daily. When symptoms improve, ovules may be used less frequently, such as 2-3 times a week.
Vagisan Moisturizing Cream is designed to lubricate the vaginal canal and skin in the area of the external genitals. The cream is applied and distributed with the fingers; it is enough to squeeze about 0.5 cm of cream once. The cream can also be applied to the skin at the entrance to the vagina to make it easier to insert the ovule. Vagisan moisturizer cream for the external genital area can be used several times a day as needed.
The cream can also be used before sex or during menstruation.
If Vagisan combination moisturizer is well tolerated, it can be used without hesitation for extended periods of time, as well as during pregnancy and lactation.
Restrictions on use
Should not be used in people who may be hypersensitive or allergic to any of the ingredients in ovules or creams.
Vagisan combination moisturizer should not be used immediately after delivery. Vagisan combination moisturizer should also not be used in case of a vaginal infection (such as a vaginal fungus); in this case, consult your doctor.
