Espumisan L 40 mg/ml Drops 30ml

Espumisan L contains the active ingredient simethicone - surface-active material that acts on the surface of bubbles and lowers the surface tension resulting in disrupting or breaking the bubbles. Released gas bubbles are absorbed by the intestinal walls and are also eliminated due to the gut motility.

Indications: Meteorism or flatulence (painful pressure that is caused by excess gas in the stomach and intestines) Aerophagia Dyspepsia Gastrocardiac syndrome Preparation to a diagnostic study of the abdominal cavity.

1 mi (25 drops) of the emulsion contains 40 mg dimethicone-silicon dioxide 96:4 (simethicone).
Excipients
Polyethylene glycol 1500 monostearate, glycerol monostearate, sorbate, hydroxypropyl cellulose, sodium cyclamate, saccharin sodium, banana flavor, purified water.
Package
Espumisan L in the glass bottle of 30 ml.

Dosage.
- Infants. 1 ml (equivalent to 25 drops) Espumisan L is added to a bottle of milk at each meal or small spoon given to the infant before and after each feeding.
- Children 1-6 years. 1 ml (equivalent to 25 drops) Espumisan L, 3 to 5 times a day.
- Children 6-14. 1-2 ml (equivalent to 25 to 50 drops) Espumisan L, 3 to 5 times a day.
- Adolescents and adults: 2 ml (equivalent to 50 drops) Espumisan L, 3 to 5 times a day.
Espumisan L is taken during or after a meal. If necessary, Espumisan L can be taken continuously.
- In preparation for abdominal imaging 2 ml (equivalent to 50 drops) Espumisan L, 3 times daily on the day before the survey, and 2 ml Espumisan L, the morning of the examination, unless your doctor recommends otherwise.
- In addition to contrast media in imaging 4 to 8 ml (equivalent to 100 to 200 drops) Espumisan L to 1 liter of contrast media for double contrast radiography.
- As an antidote for poisoning with detergents:
Children: 2.5 to 10 ml (65 drops to 1/3 of the bottle contents) Espumisan L
Adults: 10 to 20 ml (1/3 to 2/3 of the bottle contents) of L Espumisan

Before use, shake the bottle well. For dosing, hold Espumisan L bottle upside down.

Espumisan L contains no sugar and is therefore suitable for diabetics and people with indigestion.
