The Scalibor Protector Band for Dogs is a long-lasting (up to 6 months) flea and tick collar for dogs. How it works:

Once the Scalibor Protector Band for Dogs is placed on your dog, its active ingredient called deltamethrin, is released into the natural oils of your dog's skin by friction. Everytime your dog moves, a small amount of the active ingredient releases from the surface of the band and into the skin. It kills 98% of ticks within 24 hours of application and will kill existing fleas on your dog and the ones present in his or her environment that may appear on your dog. To get the complete full-body protection for the Scalibor Protector Band for Dogs, your dog must wear it for 1 to 2 weeks. If you anticipate flea and tick exposure, it's best to apply the Scalibor Protector Band 10-14 days beforehand.
