Seeds of Calceolaria cana. This is a delicate, but beautiful plant which is relatively easy to grow. As with all calceolarias, be very careful when transplanting. Compared to other calceolarias, this one needs considerably less watering. Once established, it can withstand snow cover and freezing temperatures. A Perennial with 2 petals blue,red. Find a somewhat dry area where the drought may last 3-5 months. Precipitations of 400-800 mm. are concentrated in winter. Some protection against direct sunlight. Allow some shadows from vegetation, filtering about 20-40% of light. USDA Hardiness Zone 8. The plant tolerates low temperatures (18° F), can tolerate occasional snow cover for up to a couple of weeks per year. SEEDS ARE TINY. RINSE SEEDS OUT WITH WATER.
