Parodia buiningii Family: Cactaceae. Also known as Notocactus. An attractive globular cactus with strong ribs and sharp spines. The spines are tricolored! They are black at the base, dark red in the middle, and yellow at the tips. I don't know of another cactus like it! Stays small and will clump in time. Produces big yellow flowers with a purple stigma. Requires general cactus care. Protect from frost.
