This pin is part of the 2009 Hidden Mickey collection for the Disneyland Resort which features the characters of The Litte Mermaid, all on seashells. Scuttle's face is inside of a green shell with a scalloped thin yellow line across the top. Measures 7/8" by 1 & 3/16". This open edition pin, released at the Princess Premiere, shows Ariel from The Little Mermaid in front of a blue swirl background with gold edging. Pin measures 1 1/2" by 1 1/4" in size. Says on the back [all in one box]: "Official Pin Trading 2003 [Logo] / (C) Disney / Made in China" Pins in the series include Pinpics: #23865, #23937, #23938, #23939, #23940, #23941, #23942. This pin is similar to Pin 19395 which has glitter background instead of swirls.03 Ariel Topiary: 2002 WDW - Cast Lanyard Series - Ariel Topiary / Pinpics #17224. This pin is a Walt Disney World WDW cast lanyard pin. It depicts Ariel from the Little Mermaid in a topiary design. Disneyland used to feature many topiary plants but has eliminated a majority of them. WDW still has many throughout the park. Ariel has a red flower in her hair. You could only obtain this pin by trading with a cast member as it was not sold at parks. The is part of the Topiary Series which includes many Disney characters in Pinpics #10922, #11295, #15348, #15975, #17224. Note: Most Cast Lanyard Series, Cast Lanyard Collection, and Global Lanyard Collection pins were released before Disney began placing Hidden Mickey symbols on these pins and non-hidden Mickey pins are coveted by some collectors. The box shows ©Disney / Made in China04 The Little Mermaid 2-disc Special Edition: 2006 From Disney Shopping (Com) - The Little Mermaid DVD (Gift With Purchase - GWP) / Pinpics #47851 This pin features Ariel, Sebastian & Flounder from "The Little Mermaid". This pin was available as a gift with purchase to the individuals who pre-ordered "The Little Mermaid" Platinum Edition DVD through DisneyShopping. The pin also came with a set of four lithographs and two plush toys. The front features a Glossy picture with Ariel, Flounder, and Sebastian, accented with a decorative, gold seaweed and starfish frame. At the top it reads "Walt Disney" (in cursive) / "Pictures Presents" (in thin capitals) / "The Little Mermaid" (in original movie font style). The banner Underneath reads "2-Disc Special Edition" (in thin capitals). Back: Textured gold-colored back features the Official Pin Trading 2006 logo (a Mickey symbol with a single banner). Underneath reads "© Disney" and "China".05 Ariel Arch: 2009 Walt Disney World WDW - 'Boxed Set - Disney Princess' - Ariel / Pinpics #68964. This pin features Ariel from "The Little Mermaid" sitting in an arch shaped pin holding her hair in a thoughtful pose. The background is blue green and purple. Part of set Pinpics #68965. The pin set was released early (April 19, 2009). On the back there are 3 boxes. Top box has the Authentic Official Pin Trading 2009 logo. Middle vote has Princess 4 of 5. Bottom box has ©Disney / China. As of Sept. 2010 this pin was offered for sale to pin collectors directly from a factory in China. As such no one can guarantee the authenticity of this pin, unless you have purchased it directly from Disney yourself.06 King Triton's Castle: 2002 Walt Disney World WDW - Cast Lanyard Series - King Triton's Castle or Palace / Pinpics #15953. This pin is one in a series of Walt Disney World exclusive pins made for Cast Members to wear on their lanyards for trading with the public. This is a gold pin of King Triton's (Ariel's father) Castle (Atlantica), from The Little Mermaid. The back of the pin reads Little Mermaid's Palace. Size: 1 1/4" x 1 3/8" Backstamp: Official Pin Trading Logo 2002 / [Box 1] Disney Lanyard Pin Series / [Box2] ©Disney / Made in China [Box 3] Little Mermaid's Palace. This is an error because it is King Triton's palace, just where Ariel lives. This is part of the Princess Home Series which includes Pinpics #11006, #11266, #12293, #15953, #17261. Note: Most Cast Lanyard Series, Cast Lanyard Collection, and Global Lanyard Collection pins were released before Disney began placing Hidden Mickey symbols on these pins. Some collectors covet pins without the Hidden Mickey. This pin has been offered for sale directly to pin collectors from a factory in China. As such no one can guarantee the authenticity of this pin. On these "fake" pins, the sand along the bottom as well with all the lines may be almost twice the size, and the scrapper version may be a lighter gold color that is less "reddish" than the authentic. This pin does not seem to meet these fake criteria, and should be authentic based on this information. If you purchase this pin, remember this info in case you are challenged when trading.07 Ariel with attitude: 2009 Ariel and Ursula Set (Ariel Only) / Pinpics #74196. This pin features Ariel from "The Little Mermaid" Part of a two (2) open edition pin set that was sold together and featured Ariel and Ursula from Disney's The Little Mermaid. The set is Pinpics #74195 and Ursula is #74197. The back features the official pin trading logo, 2009 and a box that states ©Disney / China. It measures about 1 9/16" by about 3/4".08 Ariel World of Color: 2011 Disneyland Resort DLR - Walt Disney Travel Company - World of Color - Ariel & Sebastian / Pinpics #83563. This pin was released by the Disney Travel Company, given to guests that booked Disney Vacations through The Walt Disney Travel Company. This pin depicts Ariel and Sebastian from Disney's The Little Mermaid in wave of water, behind them is multi-colored water fountains and Mickey's Fun Wheel with multi-colored spokes. The bottom of the pin reads "Disneyland Resort." Backstamp has a logo and states Walt Disney Travel Company in the top box. The pin measures 1 1/8" (28 mm) wide by 1 3/8" (34 mm) tall. It has a waffle back with a box that states "THE DISNEY CHANNEL / 1983-1993 / © DISNEY / MADE IN CHINA."
