This is a set of Penguin Salt and Pepper Shakers, made in Japan, can also be used for Spices or display. These are fairly common, but from me you get more info and better description and disclosures. These would be great to display with the rest of your owl figurine collection. You can see the simple monochrome finish, even without eyes. They have a very primitive look. When you see Made in Japan, that usually means the 1940s to 50s. Since it does not say occupied, it is more likely 50s. They are 3" Tall, see the dollar for reference, and look very realistic with their finish and extreme detail. This has a gloss or satin finish glaze, which gives it a very stark look.
