Svyatogorye chalk - 1 Lb (16oz).
Approaching the Cretaceous career, birds singing is heard and a stream of warm air and a special smell of flowering grasses mixed with whitewash-chalky aroma reflected from the stony-chalky soil are felt. The panoramas of the chalk quarry fascinate with its whiteness.
The territory of the Polesskiy canyon has a slightly wavy surface with high chalky manes and narrow depressions. Against the background of the white panorama of the quarry walls, chicory and other herbs are blooming. At the bottom of the chalk pit, stony pressed whitish soil. You feel serenity among these miraculous chalky quirks. This area belongs to the Putivsky wildlife sanctuary, so the chalk is mined here manually.
Pieces of Putivsky chalk are dusty with chalk powder, like icing sugar. When feeling, the chalk is rough, dull, not smooth. Quickly yielding nibbles and crunching velvet, gradually soaking in the mouth.
Taste of wet dust, basement-chalky dampness. It resembles melting compressed snow.
