Porcelain Bud Vase 24 kt Gold Trim Pickard China Co. Vintage Made in USA

This porcelain, or bone china, bud vase was made by Pickard China, whose slogan is "America's oldest fine china company". The vase is hand decorated with 24k gold on the rim, neck, and base, and also has a gold decorative symbol on the front. The classic form is flared at the base, bulbous in the middle, then flares at the spout with a scalloped rim. The Pickard company was founded in 1893 in Edgerton, Wisconsin by Wilder Austin Pickard, and moved to Chicago in 1897. The backstamp in photo #4 has been used from 1938 to the present time. It reads, "Pickard / Made in U.S.A./ America's Finest China/ Hand Decorated". This piece is in excellent condition! Height: 7 inches (17.78 cm). (#53952-R+)
