Ancient Roman bronze coin of the Emperor Magnentius, (Flavius Magnus Magnentius) dating to approximately 350 - 351 A.D. Minted in Trier, Germany.The obverse of the coin depicts a fabulous portrait of the Emperor with draped bust, right. The legend reads;D[ominvs] N[oster] MAGNENTIVS P[ivs] F[elix] AVG[vstvs]."Our lord Magnentius, dutiful and happy Augustus"The reverse shows the Emperor, in military dress, galloping right, without shield, spearing barbarian with outstretched arms, shield and broken spear below horse.
