Art Deco Plump Birds Salt & Pepper Shakers 1930s Japan

These figural shakers from the 1930's depict a pair of big-bellied birds looking up as if to receive a juicy worm from Mother. They're made of porcelain or bone china and are decorated with flowers, blue heads and pinstripes. From the Art Deco period, they measure 2½ inches (6.3 cm) high. Marked: "Japan". Both shakers are in very good condition with original corks. (#4721A-D+)
