Amaranth is a large fast-growing plant 50-80cm tall, with decorative leaves and inflorescences for borders, hedges. Groups and solitary plants can form the center of the flowerbed arrangement, surrounded by lower plants with a light blue, lilac (ageratum), or yellow-orange (tagetes, nasturtium) colors. Amaranths prefer an abundance of sunlight and heat. Amaranth seedlings are planted in warm soil. The plant requires frequent and plentiful watering.
