Decorative large-leaved cabbage is an annual plant 15-30 cm high. The plant is decorative by a rosette of rounded, bubbly leaves of mixed color. The outer leaves are usually green, while the inner leaves are pink, cream or red.
It is grown by sowing seeds in open ground in May, or through seedlings in April. Ornamental heads of cabbage form in early July.
It is used for decorative decoration of borders and group plantings, as well as for growing as a pot culture.
