Cicasilver ointment is a medical device useful as an adjuvant in the topical treatment of chronic and acute superficial skin lesions.
The hyaluronic acid, Vitamin E and Acacia collagen, thanks to their hydrating and film-forming properties, create a water reserve system that ensures that the wound micro-environment is correctly humidified and aids both the restoration and maintenance of optimal skin moisture levels and physiological tissue repair processes. Micronised silver acts as the preservative in the formula.
Indicated for the medication of acute and chronic superficial skin wounds and lesions.
Components: Hyaluronic Acid, Acacia Extract, Micronised Silver, Vitamin E, Glycerin, Almond Oil, Propylene Glycol, Xanthan Gum, Cetylstearyl Alcohol, Decyl Oleate, Cetearyl Glucoside, Shea Butter, Ethylhexylglycerin, Potassium Cetyl Phosphate, Lactic Acid, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate, Water.
Method of use: wash your hands thoroughly. Take a little product from the tube and apply gently to the wound and the area immediately around it. 2-3 applications per day are recommended, preferably with prior cleaning of the area to be treated (saline solution is recommended), until the wound has completely healed.
Warnings:
External use. As with all topical products, prolonged use may lead to sensitisation or local irritation. In this case, suspend the treatment and seek medical advice for suitable therapy. Do not use on non-superficial skin lesions also affecting the dermis. No interactions arising from use of the product in concomitance with other topical products are known. However, simultaneous use of other medical devices or medicinal products for local use should be avoided, except when strictly necessary, and under medical supervision.
On pregnant women, nursing mothers and children less than 3 years old, the product must be used only when strictly necessary and under direct medical supervision. Avoid contact with the eyes. In case of accidental contact with the eyes, rinse thoroughly and seek medical advice if necessary.
Storage:
Store the sealed pack in a dry place, protected from light and heat. Keep the product out of sight and reach of children. The expiry date refers to the intact, correctly stored product. The expiry date is marked on the package and on the tube.
Side-effects:
Cicasilver ointment must not be used in case of proven hypersensitivity to one of the product components or other correlated chemicals.
