A. Schrader's Son, Inc. was founded in New York City in 1844 by August F. Schrader. Their specialty was air control products and tire valves. The company was acquired by Scovill Manufacturing in 1929. The company still survives today as Schrader-Bridgeport International, Inc., a business merger name adopted in 1996.
