Provenance: This book was the personal property of the Reverend Victor Eugene Ramsey Sr. (1926-2012). A U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and Methodist minister, Ramsey served as acting chaplain aboard a ship bound for the Allied invasion of Japan in 1945 prior to the atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. A typhoon delayed the ship's arrival, perhaps saving everyone's life on board. The Rev. Ramsey was a member of the original Television Workshop, a delegate to the World Council of Churches, a writer for the Christian Advocate and Together magazines and a nationally accredited press correspondent.
The Reverend Ramsey signed his name on the first blank page at top: "Victor E. Ramsey."
