Lakshmi is depicted in the pre-Angkorian Phnom Da style. Lakshmi is the Hindu goddess of wealth, prosperity (both material and spiritual), light, wisdom, fortune, fertility, generosity and courage. The embodiment of beauty, grace and charm. Also called Mahalakshmi, she is said to bring good luck, and is believed to protect her devotees from all kinds of misery and money-related sorrows. The large ushnisha on top of her head promotes the energy of meditation, deep contemplation and unity with higher energy. The rear of the Stele is decorated with the Trident, Axe and Vase of Plenty. A unique Sanskrit inscription in two vertical lines can be seen. The patina and details of this piece are particularly appealing. The stele has been loose mounted on a wood plinth (later).
