Cinderella story of the motherless puppy who was skyrocketed to fame by LIFE magazine. This book shows in photos and text the story of Lucky, a homeless mongrel puppy, who was saved from certain death in the Texas Panhandle. He was brought to fame in New York by a Life Magazine story team with a picture in Life showing the tiny mite huddled beside the dead body of her mother next to the highway and goes on to tell the story of what happens next to Lucky.
