The Sir Charlie Chaplin autobiography ‘My Early Years’ is for sale. This is the 1979 second edition that is complete with the dust jacket. My Early Years was published by The Bodley Head and measures 5¾ x 9 inches (approximately).
The front of the dust jacket has a large photograph of a young Charlie Chaplin wearing a bowler hat; and the back of the dust jacket has a photograph of Charlie Chaplin in character as The Tramp.
The dust jacket is in Very Good condition being neatly price clipped and only very slight surface and corner wear. A very attractive dust jacket.
The original brown binding has gilt lettering to the spine and is in Fine condition.
The stunning Charlie Chaplin autobiography has 191 numbered pages that contains 39 black and photographs of his earlier years that includes his Mother, Father, Brother and so many great photographs. This was Charlie Chaplin’s very personal account to last for posterity, in his own words. The pages are in Fine condition.
