Vitamin B5

Pantothentic Acid is an essential nutrient included
in the B Vitamin family, often referred to as B5. Pantothentic Acid
demonstrates antioxidant abilities as well as the ability to prevent
lipid peroxidation of the cells. Pantothentic Acid is the precursor of
coenzyme A, which has many important function in the body such as the
release of energy from carbohydrates, the creation and degradation of
fatty acids, and the production of sterols, steroid hormones, etc.



Pantothentic Acid has also been indicated in normal
epithelial function. There has been some evidence of anti-inflammatory
activity. Pantothentic Acid acts as an intermediary during the
metabolization of carbohydrates, protein and lipids. It can be
manufactured in the body through the conversion of dexapanthenol.

The prolonged use of antibiotics may decrease the
production of all B vitamins. Pantothentic Acid should not be combined
with cholinergic drugs as additive effects may occur. High doses of
Pantothentic acid may also hinder the absorption of biotin.
Pantothentic Acid is well tolerated by most people
in the recommended dosage. High doses of pantothenic acid may cause
diarrhea.

A B5 cycle is a much cheaper
alternative to combating acne than liver toxic accutane cycle. And since
B5 is water soluble it will not cause any type toxic effects even
at high doses which is possible with some  fat soluble vitamins.




Side effects

at 10+ grams a
day has been in rare cases stomach irritation and drying around the
mouth. Both subsides when the body adjusts or dosage is reduced.
