The Beatles fan club Third Christmas record with the original Beatles Fan Club of Great Britain 4-page newsletter is for sale. This flexi disc record was only issued to Beatles UK fan club members in 1965. This rare Beatles record was produced by Lyntone Recordings for Parlophone and The Beatles Fan Club of Great Britain; and has the catalogue number of LYN 948. The back of the sleeve states:
“THE BEATLES THIRD CHRISTMAS RECORD cannot be bought in the shops. Copies are not available at any price to people who do not belong to The Official Beatles Fan Club of Great Britain.”
This early Beatles promotional record has a great sleeve featuring The Beatles singing and playing their instruments which the back of the sleeve states: “Incidentally, I wonder how many members recognise the setting of the picture to be seen on the front of this sleeve. I was taken in Granada’s Manchester television studios when the boys made their spectacular “The Music of Lennon and McCartney”. A few seconds after the photograph was taken, The Beatles launched into the energetic performance of “Day Tripper” which closes the first part of the programme.
The sleeve is in Good condition with marks to the top edge of the front of the sleeve, and marks to the back of the sleeve.
The flexi disc label and disc is in Very Good (unplayed) condition with the label being clean and light marks to the front and blank reverse of the flexi. The original Beatles fan club newsletter has a front page with news and the other 3 pages having photographs of The Beatles. The newsletter is in Fine condition.
