  • Description
Description: Here's a gorgeous tri-fold advertising fan featuring a forest scene with a large deer in the middle. The trees appear to be birch. The fan is composed of three panels of stiff card stock, held together with two rivets, one that acts as a pivot and one that limits the fan's width when opened.

One panel on the back of the fan advertises the A & D SUPER MARKET, located on Shelby St. (though it doesn't say what city). The store was operated by Alex and David Campisano and featured "ICE CREAM IN CONE OR PACKAGE". It's slogan was "Good Food Headquarters".

The fan was made by the Kemper-Thomas Co. of Cincinnati, Ohio. It's not dated, but appears to be from around 1950 or so.

Size: Approx. 7½" x 10" when fully opened

Condition: Excellent, I'd say. The fan slides open and closed easily and shows almost no evidence of use. The colors on the front of each panel are bright and fresh. The back of the rear panel is slightly toned with age. (Please see scans.)
