Brandywine Black is a American heirloom tomato that produces large beefsteak type tomatoes.The fruits are juicy, with deep-red flesh and darker red shoulders. A high yielder of maroon-red tomatoes that average 12-16 oz but can weigh up to 2 pounds. Moderately salt-tolerant tomato plant isn't so picky about soils as some tomato's.The vines are thick and sturdy with lot's of leaves to shade the tomato's. Black Brandywine tomato's are indeterminate, so the fruits will ripen over a 2/3 month period.
