Grow celosia in full sun, at least six hours of direct sun per day. In less light, celosia may grow tall and lanky, flop over, and bloom less. When your seedlings are comming up, celosia likes regular watering to help it get established, but once it gets going, it's quite drought tolerant. Still, consistent watering during hot, dry periods helps them thrive and bloom more profusely. They typically start blooming in late spring, early summer and will flower until fall or when night temps fall below 60F. The main arrow shaped bloom will get about 12-16" tall and last 6 to 8 weeks. If you deadhead the main flower, the plant will replace it with 2 to 4 thinner blooms that will take it to fall. Celosia will reseed itself if late blooms are left alone. Use as a border or in masse.
