Will grow just about anywhere with full sun.Pretty much a carefree plant after seedlings are established.The yellow/lemon blooms are about 2-3" and make great long lasting cut flowers.Deadhead old blooms, cut back foliage to 12" and you will get a second and third round of fresh flowers. Scatter seeds on surface of loose soil when soil temps reach 75F. Keep lightly moist until germination(10-20 Days) Stop watering when seedlings emerge. From this point on, only water if no rain or prolonged drought. Cosmos seedlings can be transplanted if they need to be thinned out. Cosmos will self seed if later blooms are left alone to drop seed.This is a great low-maintenance plant, with tidy foliage and beautiful cut flowers. One of my favorites.
