CENTURY FRAMED SIGNED FRENCH IMPRESSIONIST LANDSCAPE OIL - LARUE

Up for consideration is this rare stunning french landscape in oil. We believe the signature to say LaRue ?. Our research has only come up with possibly 18th century. It is an original and the paper on back does have some rips but has never been completely separated so i dont know what the painting is on? Could be board or canvas. I tried to get a lead on the previous owner and the auction house would not give it to me claiming it to be private. There are some tiny edge bumps to the gesso at bottom of the arched frame and a minor scratch. The painting itsself is protected under glass and i believe the paint dot to be on that exterior glass? Measures 17 & 3/4" tall x 11 & 3/4" wide. See pics for more accurate description. The invaluable site list these larues at 2800.00 Would be a nice addition to any display, or art collection
