Xingyi Five-element Spear is formed by predecessors of Xingyi Quan who integrated schools of spear skills and then abstracted, concluded, practiced, summarized them on the principles of concision and practicality and on the mode of Pi, Zuan, Beng, Pao, Heng of Five-element Boxing (Wuxing Quan). It is characterized by union of body and weapon, prominence to the whole strength, emphasis on power.


Linked Spear is a dapper traditional routine, which is stringed according to routes of Linked Boxing and in combination of the features of spears. It is spread widely in the country. In the whole series, moves are consistent, spear techniques are clear, skills are swift and fierce, strength is vigorous, mind is full, and vigor is intrepid. All these entirely reflect the whole strength of driving arms by waist, operating spear by arms, uniting of body and weapon. The exercise of Xingyi Spear has great effect on improving our own power, deepening the boxing skill, strengthening body health, self-defense.
