Origin and Features of Shaolin Tiger Pouncing Boxing, Shaolin Tiger Pouncing Boxing belongs to Tiger Boxing According to the records of "shaolin quan table": it came from Song Dynasty After great Buddhist monk Fuju had invited 18 past masters of martial arts circles in the joint performance in Shaolin Temple, it was created. There are 28 postures in all. Features: it is ferocious; it attacks swiftly with continuous actions. It first rushes, strikes, pushes and sweeps and then presses, pounces and grasps. It is as swift and violent as a fierce tiger going down the mountain and it is as powerful as a hungry tiger catching a sheep it is fully as majestic as a tiger, Its peculiar style shows on the pouncing skill of claws thus it is called tiger pouncing boxing. In every successive dynasty, wushu-exercising monks had kept it secret and had never taught it publicly. I was favored with this boxing from the past master Zhao Jiang, Zhaojiang comes from Youlan group of Quanmen Village of Dongjin and has practiced wushu following his grandfather Zhao Dezhong since 8 years old, Zhao Jiang is the fifth generation successor in his family for this boxing. This boxing routine is arranged according to the performance of master Ye Canshen who is Zhao Jiang's disciple and who dedicates this Shaolin Tiger Pouncing Boxing to the public, expecting the successors inherit this traditional arts.
