YouCollect*me - Vintage Collectibles from BulgariaItem: Antique School Student Learn to Write and Calculate small pencil/chalk board - 10" Used before notebooks were invented - probably the first tablet in the world :) Color: Black Board with wooden frame. Brand: manufacturer sign is not visible. Origin: Bulgaria Dated: Early 1900s Measures: 8.5 x 6.0 inches (10 inches diagonal). You could see the "screen" is the exact 8". Condition: Fair Used Antique Condition - see photos. Boxed: Not Features: Both sides were used - one for writing ( horizontal lines) other to learn to calculate - square grid. More info: Wooden frame - signs of wear and usage. Must have fallen too many times :) Special pencils "калем" (could be seen on the second picture - not included) were used to write on the board - similar to the today's crayons - soft and easy to erase (wipe off). On the first and the last 2 pictures there are actual museum exhibits from the same era taken at the local Museum of History.
