From the man who commanded the world's first nuclear strike force. Col. Paul Tibbets flew the Enola Gay, dropping the world's first atomic bomb on Hiroshima, Japan, August 6, 1945. On the second page of this book, before the copyright page, Col. Tibbets signed his name under his 'Pilot' photo, standing next to Theodore Van Kirk, Navigator, and Thomas Ferebee, Bombadier. There's an inscription above the photo as well, and dated 9-24-91. This guy FLEW the Enola Gay, folks! This book is a piece of history not a lot of people own.
